Throw in a new radio so the car won't be as boring for the
occupants. I just realised how lonely it can get when you're stuck in traffic,
and not sure what time you'll reach home. For such a short distance, I do feel
the symptoms of Manila's traffic here in Auckland.

I have accepted my role in the family as a mother, wife and breadwinner. I think I'm getting used to it. And I think I'm getting used to being a foreigner in this land of the long white clouds.
I have become hardened by the experience. I treat myself to food and wine as often as needed. I try to put things into perspective. I get to hang clothes outside to dry. I love this when it's sunny and there's a cool breeze in the air.
We get to replenish our pantry with new stock and then I try a new or a favorite recipe.
We take the kids outside to play, be it along the driveway, the playground, the park or the beach.

I'm not exactly alone right now coz I have my husband and kids with me but that's pretty much it. We're migrants and I still don't have a support system which really sucks. I think I'm trying hard a bit sometimes to try making friends with colleagues, or with the friends of friends, or even folks that my relatives would refer to me. kquillhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04443421037324528922noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7034411.post-86138965313040727042014-06-03T18:04:00.001+08:002014-06-04T02:31:28.853+08:00Remembering DadGood morning my beautiful daw-ter! 1. Be true to

Your boss wants to trust

Our baby is now 6 months! I was browsing through his photos in my phone and I've seen how much he's grown already! I took this photo of hubby and son just after our Pedia visit at the hospital when Max was 5 months old. See the babies in the nursery? Max was that small when he came out and look at him now! When we picked canvass as our primary material, all sorts of ideas came into mind. We were able to pick up the demand for holiday giveaways. We've received positive feedback on our products and with that, we've been inspired to come up with more designs for next year. Books and heaps of advise is never enough to prepare you to this new role. It's an immense responsibility to provide much care to such a helpless little being.
