Explorer's Hat

I bought this a couple of years ago, and I call it the 'explorer's hat'. It's nothing fancy, nor is it a fashion statement, it's actually a fisherman's hat. Wearing it just gives me that feeling of discovery as i march my way into forests, rivers, lakes, islands and streets.

My explorer's hat:
I put it on to hide my hair and to shade my face.

The hat carries a lot of memories, not just of the places that it's been through but also of the people it's shared its life with.. both fond and cruel. For as I head on into my daily journeys, I do and I don't really expect anything. Whatever it is, I'm still just in it for the journey.

Sisters: Diana, Joy, Riza et moi.
I guess this is our character pose.

Hence I'm glad of the freedom that I have right now. I've accepted the fact that people are transitory as company. Whether we are of the same blood, background or interests, i still only have myself and my life to live.

It's hard for people to understand and appreciate that which gives me the zest of life. At least now I'm around those who are somehow on the same page as I am.

Thanks to Ate Riza who influenced my thirst to explore new places and experience new things. Much gratitude to Haidee and Thet who've been constantly encouraging even if they do not share the same passion.
