Tagaytay Chill

And so we were off. We visited a friend of ours who's chilln' with his Mom and his students at a house in Tagaytay. It's a nice and simple family vacation house where a local carpenter was still busy doing some finishing touches here and there.

Our host had some students with him (to make up for his frequent absences in class). His mom was there looking after our meals. Mind you, no one's gonna get hungry with her around. So that pretty much scrapped my idea of having lunch at Sonya's Garden. Oh well, i've to tigthen my belt from all these unnecessary spendings anyway.

I got to watch some A-grade DVDs.. international filmfest material. Mostly in Spanish and I even had a chance to peek at the documentary: Imelda. One thing that I noticed though is that I somehow end up seeing some real gory stuff whenever I'm with that crowd (my Sweeny movie-buddies).

Our conversations were typical of a getting to know you group like the types of movies that you've seen, the books that you read, past-times and the latest craze.. lomo photography. I felt comfortable somehow as my beau's got some really cool friends.

There's the crisp Tagaytay wind come dusk. It's nice to cuddle next to my beau at night though sleep was frequently interrupted by a very animated dialogue between Miong and Inno in the other roon, and by the rhythmic snoring of my own roommates. My feet was still itching to go out the next day but the relaxed atmosphere somehow made me stay put.

We bought some take home treats at Colettes on our way back to Manila and was welcomed by the damp streets of a just-after-the-rain marikina. It's been a cool weekend.
