A Different Xmas

It's my first time to spend Christmas away from my family, since I'll be spending it with my husband's this year.

So what's different?

1. You won't find me patiently queuing in the bus terminal at Buendia on the evening of Dec 24.
Hubby and I will be watching Avatar in 3D tomorrow! Yeay!

2. There won't be that hustle and bustle at the kitchen with the ladies of the house on the night of the 24th! I'm thinking of cooking Carbonara for a stress-free Chirstmas dinner. Salad will be prepared ahead, maybe tonight. And if there's time, i'll whip up some bacon-stuffed tomatoes. Yummy!

3. I will be setting a new tradition with my new family. I've some sweets on hand and I'll have Max hand them over to the kids in our neighborhood.

4. There won't be the usual videoke but wait until we get to Sariaya on the 26th, ahem ahem.. lalalalala...

5. I'll be going to a different church on Christmas! And we're taking Max with us.

6. I don't have to be up early on Christmas day! But would have to be the day after since we're travelling to Sariaya by then.

How time flies!

Our baby is now 6 months! I was browsing through his photos in my phone and I've seen how much he's grown already! I took this photo of hubby and son just after our Pedia visit at the hospital when Max was 5 months old. See the babies in the nursery? Max was that small when he came out and look at him now! (err.. a month ago i mean). It's such a wonderful feeling to see your baby grow.

Dreaming of Paris

Back in 2007, I thought of taking the train to Paris from Berlin after our last workshop in Denmark. Looking back, Berlin was worth it but I could've requested for 2 more days so I could at least see Paris before going back to work.
Now it's going to be quite a challenge since I need to juggle between work, business and motherhood. I intend to go back to Europe by 2012, hoping that business would be stable by then.
It's a bit tough to pursue personal dreams now that i've my own family. But I don't think that should stop me from achieving my goal since I've a very supportive husband and an inspiring little one. It would be quite a treat if we could all go there together. Now that's a lovely thought.

Sweets!!

These goodies from Babycakes is a sure delight for the sweet tooth. The the middle row is carrot cake and it's the best in the lot. The whipped cream is a bit sweet though but that's ok.

This is best with coffee, a real strong one.

Oo la la! I had this for breakfast plus some yummy ensaymada.

These were all xmas gifts from Ira and Marah. Thanks a bunch guys!
